"California Gurls, We're Unforgettable.."

This Halloween I worked my butt off on my epic Halloween Costume (and kinda of wanted to cry when I had to throw it away after). Katy Perry in "California Gurls" In case you have been living under a rock you can find it here.. I chose to make my costume from the first outfit you see her wearing--purple wig with heart headband, white dress covered in candy and a rainbow tutu--candy necklace, bracelet, ring & shoes!

Unfortunately I was not anticipating a mirror falling on my head the weekend before, so I did the best I could to cover the left over black eyes I was left with >:[

Here's some pics of all the shenanigans :D Also in conclusion we learned..Do NOT actually put your dick in a box--you will get arrested.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Let's be honest, every party turns into the Autumn and Eva show anyways :D

"I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T Do you know what that mean?"

After talking to my mom on the phone right after I finished putting my new bed together, she says, "Great, now you're never gonna get married if you keep doing these thing by yourself." It's true though. Who needs a guy when the only time I really ever wish they were around is to kill spiders? But lets rewind...

Last night I went to pick up a free bed from my coworkers friend. I've been sleeping on a twin-sized mattress on the floor for the past 3 years, so anything is better than that. My two friends (that are girls) and I moved it upstairs to my apartment (again, who needs men?). I spent a good 2 hours putting it together today. It's a simple bed from Ikea, which normally are pretty easy to put together, but whoever put it together before had pieces backwards, upside down, and half stained the frame. There was missing bolts, screws and those wooden peg things. Thank god for the tools my Dad left me when he moved--I would have been screwed without them! Luckily there was an allen wrench in the tool box so I was able to unscrew/re-screw most of the parts, but it still wasn't as stable as I thought it should be. So Miss Independent busted out the Black&Decker Swivel Drill/Driver that he also left for me, found the right sized drill bits and put extra screws to support and tighten the bed frame (that's what she said). I put the box spring and mattress on and just like that I finally have an actual bed--off the floor--that is not child-sized!!

"I don't need nobody just trying to make me over!"

My beautiful bike, Markus Tranter (Markus after Markus Molinari, Katy Perry's gay blogging BFF seeing as my Car is named Katy, and Tranter, for Justin Tranter obviously of Semi Precious Weapons)Finally got his beautifully gay makeover.

This weekend he finally got to debut himself into the "gayborhood" for the St. Patrick's Day festival at Balboa Park. He got lots of compliments and I only crashed him into a sandbag once on the ride home, which I'm sure had nothing to do with the beer I drank. yikes.

Here's a before and after of my Gorgeous <3

and here he is with Autumn and his gay bff bike, Lafayette (after Lafayette in True Blood, Hookuh<3 )

"I got a Diamond in my pocket, and a Gun in my purse, sing 'Semi Precious Weapons' or you might get hurt!"

This blog is long overdue, but considering my lack of computer/internet until now it's better late than never right?

October 2, 2009: Autumn won tickets to the Perez Hilton Presents tour at the House of Blues downtown. I really had no idea what to expect but we really wanted to meet Perez, so I was totally stoked just for that.

Little did we know that we were about to get our faces BLOWN away by a band we had never even heard of before.

SEMI PRECIOUS WEAPONS Remember that name because you will be screaming it later.

We were instantly hooked to the amazing sound that music these days have been missing out on. Filthy. Rock. Glamour. EPIC.

We had planned to see them at the end of the month when they went on tour with The Sounds, but sadly they got booted from the bill of the San Diego show.

The one and only Miss. Lady Gaga used to open up for the band before she became the icon she is now, and as we speak currently SPW is on tour opening up for her Monster Ball.

We then got word that they would be playing a show at The Viper Room in LA on November 13, before they started the tour with Gaga. $10 tickets, Semi Precious Weapons, LA, and an awesome venue...obviously we were in. We took that Friday off of work and road tripped up to Sunset Blvd for the Best. Night. Ever.

We knew we were in for an amazing show, but we had know idea just what the night had in store. After checking into the lovely Motel 6 (we were on a budget here kids)

We continued the long process of getting ready (and by we I mean I got ready while Autumn took a nap watching the Wizard of Oz..."Toto should have been a CAT!") and found our way to the cabs to drive us to the show.

If you've ever been to the Viper Room you know it's a pretty small venue, so to be in the front for the concert you are in the FRONT. We almost had to fight a few LA Broads who were NOT happy that we were dead front center...but the Boston and Philly chicks were obviously not going to let that happen. The beautiful Justin Tranter was right in our faces the entire show and it was A-MAZING. We got "Sticky with Champagne" ,
got to sing a long to multiple songs, our hair pulled during "Her Hair is on fire" and J.Trant even pulled money out of my dress, and I took it back with my teeth? Haha. After the show the guys hung out at the bar while Lady Starlight was DJing the even more epically amazing after party. We danced, we sang, we drank, and I attacked the band members all night :)

My take on the Beauties:

Justin Tranter:
The most. Shocking. Talented. Gorgeous. Ambitious. "Magnetic". Person I have EVER encountered. The voice, the style, everything just oozes sexual glam.

Cole Whittle:

Sexy, Talented, Insane. I can't help but have insanely inappropriate thoughts about him when I watch him perform. I don't know how he can play the bass perfectly while throwing himself on the ground and flailing his body around, but he does it, and he does it good.

Dan Crean: Drummer extraordinaire. Doesn't seem to get as crazy as the rest of them, but super talented, gorgeous (but really I think that's a band requirement :D), and down to earth.

Stevy Pyne: Most famous for his endless supply of ever changing wigs and ability to rock out harder than anyone I have ever seen on a guitar. Literally. The man is a genius.

I can honestly say I will NEVER forget that night (which is pretty amazing considering all the Jack I drank). Every time I look at the tarp Justin wrote on (and then threw at us to wipe the Champagne off) I will be reminded of every detail.

This is not the last you will hear of Semi Precious Weapons as they continue to BLOW UP every show that play. Also their EP is available NOW on Itunes and Amazon. Buy it and have your faces rocked off.

***raises glass** Here's to Justin Tranter and Semi Precious Weapons, and the return of real ROCK and ROLL <3

"Show Me Your Teeth!"

Guess who FINALLY has the internet set up in her apartment? THIS ONE :D Seriously though, if you even know how much of a project it was you'd understand. Also I still have no sound, which if you know me you know that is the most important part of the computer :/ So hopefully someone smart can fix this problem.

I'm gonna try to use this more since certain family members (and by members I mean Dad) refuse to sign up for Facebook.

I'd also liek to post up pictures of the sunshine so you could be envious while in the snow, but sadly there is none. It's been raining like crazy since monday, and sadly not men.

Until next time <3
